Idea: Revive Prayer Walk at our Schools

Submitted by: Wade White, Eddyville, KY

God laid on the heart of me and my youth group to begin prayer walking at our local schools on Sundays. We believed God was calling for UNITY of Christians of all denominations to join in prayer 1 hour, once a month inside our schools. We started doing this in January 2007 at a local high school. This has now spread into 2 other high schools and more are looking into starting their own. At the newest school which just got on board, there were 221 people show up for prayer. The unity is incredible. Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Church of Christ, Catholic, Presbyterian have all joined in these prayer walks. We go inside the schools on a Sunday at 2:30 (which was cleared by each Board of Education) and pray in the gym, through the hallways, etc.

To see students and adults praying in the hallways of schools with tears streaming down their faces is an incredible experience. We believe this is spreading well beyond here. If you are interested in getting free information please go to our website and contact us. www.reviveprayerwalk.com.
